Report V President LI Jinyun’s Attendance at the World Women University Presidents South Asia Forum

        On April 25, 2015, president LI Jinyun and other delegation members came to the last stop of their South Asia tour. President LI attended the World Women University Presidents South Asia Forum and the donation ceremony of Nepal College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
        Founded in 2001, Nepal College of Journalism and Mass Communication is a private college attached to Purbanchal University. After Dr. Manju Mishra returned to Nepal from Russia where she completed her doctoral program, she established the college. The college aims to introduce advanced international education philosophy and methods so as to improve Nepal’s backward media education. Currently, the college offers journalism and mass communication (master courses), development communication (master courses), journalism and mass communication undergraduate courses), and other courses. The college has cultivated nearly 500 talents for Nepal media industry. At the moment, Ms. Mishra endeavors to make the college grow into Communication University of Nepal.
        As a private entrepreneur and education industrialist, ZHAI Zhihai, chairman of Jingying Group, has made great contributions to the development of private higher education and cultural undertakings of Hebei Province. He commits to the idea of cultivating universal righteousness and learning from domestic and foreign elites. Jingying Group never stops rewarding society during its rapid development. According to incomplete statistics, Jingying Group has donated more than 73.5 million yuan to subsidize poverty-stricken students since 1995. 13,857 students have been subsidized to varying degrees.
       Today, president LI, on behalf of chairman ZHAI, donated 200 thousand yuan to Nepal College of Journalism and Mass Communication to implement the proposal put forward at the 6th World Women University Presidents Beijing Forum.
       On behalf of chairman ZHAI, president LI delivered an impassioned speech. “With other colleges and universities, we endeavor to help Nepal College of Journalism and Mass Communication as much as we can. What we about to do implements the guideline of China’s neighborhood diplomacy featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and is in accordance with the topic of the forum—Cooperation· Common Progress· Prosperity. We will keep our promise and try our best to assist the college,” president LI said.
